Computer & Mobile Device Management & Security
Automated. Intelligent. Cross-Platform.
Absolute® Manage can turn your IT asset management pain into a set of simple, automated processes using technology that will allow you to manage PCs or Macs and iPhones or iPads from a single interface.
Application & License Management
Track installed applications and licenses on all of the devices in your deployment. Collect data from each machine so you can intelligently manage application licenses to avoid over-install penalties. Stay ahead of regulatory non-compliance by locating, terminating, and removing unlicensed and unauthorized software. Repackage software installations and deploy software in native installer formats.
Security, Change & Configuration Management
Monitor and enforce your configuration policies and use the data you collect to remotely monitor and control the devices in your deployment – including restart, shut down or to put remote computers to sleep. Use the Security Content Automation Protocol reports to manage corporate and government regulations, including FDCC compliance.
Automated Patch Management
Centrally manage and install patches – tracking and reporting on the patch status of all managed systems, as well as automatically adding required updates and patches.
Computer Imaging
Use a single automated process to install a complete operating system and standard applications on your Mac devices. Deploy a disk image while a computer is in use and automatically migrate user folders, network settings and Directory Access settings with no interruption to users.
Power Management
Save money and conserve natural resources by implementing a power management policy. Base your policy on user behaviour and work schedules so the most energy efficient profile is enforced. Analyze the data generated by your policy to determine your resource savings and plan for greater efficiencies in the future. Reduce overall costs by leveraging government and tax rebates for energy management compliance.
Easy Deployment That Makes Sense
- Small to medium-sized businesses: Major components can be installed on a single server
- Large enterprise organizations: Major components can be installed on multiple servers in a more distributed environment
Managing your mobile Apple devices just got easier
Whether you support a mixture of PCs and Apple devices or you deal with a dedicated Mac environment, odds are your greatest challenge is managing and securing the iPads and iPhones in your organization.
Welcome to the simple life. Absolute Manage Mobile Device Management for iOS4 (Absolute Manage MDM) allows you to remotely manage the Apple mobile devices in your deployment. Through our integration with the Apple iOS4 platform, you can wirelessly (over 3G or Wi-Fi) configure, query, and even wipe or lock managed devices.
Leverage the cross-platform capabilities of Absolute Manage: IT administrators can do their work from a Mac or a PC and there's no need to invest in additional hardware since the Absolute Manage console and server can install in a pre-existing Windows or Mac environment.
Absolute Manage MDM is available as a stand-alone product or as a component of Absolute Manage.
Features include:
Application Management
Track installed applications on all of the iOS4 devices in your deployment. Build device records using custom data fields that support the unique requirements of the business. Apple Apps: Publish a list of approved apps onto each device and provide a single-click download and installation process for users. Absolute®Apps: Securely host, remotely deploy, and distribute in-house applications to end users.
Security, Change & Configuration Management
Set longer, more complex passwords for enterprise level security. Lock a device, clear a password, and wipe a device clean to factory settings (without an Exchange or MobileMe account). Manage and deploy profiles to configure email, restrict applications, set up VPN, disable the camera, and deploy web clips. Send customized messages and communicate with the end user wirelessly to avoid the costs associated with SMS messaging. Track and locate a device on an internet map.
Asset Inventory
Gather over 67 hardware and software information items including device serial numbers, Mac addresses, installed applications, telephone numbers, and more. Integrate your iOS device data with third party applications such as Microsoft SCCM.
Absolute Manage MDM includes support for the App Store Volume Purchase Program (ASVPP) for schools and other educational organizations that buy Apple Apps in volume using purchase orders. The Apple website contains additional information about ASVPP.
